Ghanaian musical duo-Reggie and Bollie who got everyone talking a few weeks ago with their X-factor appearance and yet could not win after making it to the final have been signed to Simon Cowell’s Syco record label.
The two are expected to release their debut album with the record label later this year.
Following their inability to pick the winning spot at the 2015 X-factor, many speculated that the two were going to be signed by their loving mentor, singer Cheryl Fernandez-Versini—but Simon Cowell has taken the bold step.
According to UK’s OK! Magazine, the two had this to say about the signing;
We are so happy to be joining the Syco Music family and releasing our record with them. It is, literally, a dream come true for us to now do what we love for a living.
We promise to work hard and show you all what Reggie and Bollie are made of.
Ghanaian X-Factor finalists, Reggie N Bollie on Tuesday visited their homes with mentor Cheryl Fernandez-Versini to drum up support ahead of Saturday night’s show.
Cheryl couldn’t contain her excitement as she joined the lovable duo for their grand homecoming in Farnborough, where Reggie ‘hails’ from.
Courtesy of the GUBA Foundation and Ghanaian High Commission in UK, there was some much needed Ghanaian colour, music and culture as dancers, family and friends joined Cheryl and Reggie N Bollie in dancing along the streets.
A video insert on the homecoming will air during Saturday’s finale. One act will be booted off in first half of a two-part live final.
Ghana duo Reggie N Bollie are really making wave in UK’s biggest music talent hunt show X-Factor and mentor Cheryl is having fun working with them.
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and her X Factor act Reggie and Bollie took a break from what was surely a serious rehearsal to dance ‘Azonto’ around to Fuse ODG’s ‘Dangerous Love’.
The Girl’s Aloud band member showed off her excellent dance moves alongside Reggie and Bollie in a candid clip posted on Instagram, Bollie is seen teaching her some ‘Atonto’ moves.
The trio was supposed to be preparing their routine ahead of Saturday’s live show, but the infectious song clearly distracted them from their duties. Cheryl looked thrilled by the break as she cheered at their dance skills and mouthed along to the song.
The judge is clearly enjoying her role as group mentor and has posted various selfies with her charges to Instagram. Earlier this week, the ‘Fight For This Love’ singer shared how much she loved Reggie and Bollie’s infectious energy.
Posing along the duo in an orange Moschino jumper dress”, she captioned it: “Shout out to my soldiers!!! @reggienbollie your love and energy is seriously infectious. Luv you guys #xfgroups”.
