“I WAS VERY HAPPY WHEN HE CALLED, I HAD ALWAYS WANTED TO DO A SONG WITH HIM” – Cina Soul Speaks On Collaborating With Akwaboah

Ghanaian songstress, Christie Quincyna Quarcoopome, better known as Cina Soul, expressed her delight and pleasure when highlife rapper Akwaboah contacted her to collaborate on his smash song “Obiaa.”

Working with Akwaboah has been a lifelong goal for Cina Soul, told Amansan Krakye of Cape Coast-based Kastle FM.

She said on the Kastle Entertainment Show that she “remembers very clearly when Akwaboah phoned me because I had always wanted to sing a song with him.”

Even when I was in school in Legon approximately four years ago, Akwaboah knew my elder sister, so he came to my house and said he’d perform a song with me one day, she recalled.

“So that’s been in my thoughts for a long time,” she said, “and when he phoned, I asked when I should come. Is it tomorrow? Good, I’ll be there.”

Cina Soul added, “I didn’t even want to hear the music; I simply knew it was time since I’d always wanted to record a song with Akwaboah.”

I WISH AKWABOAH WINS VGMAS BEST HIGHLIFE SONG – Cina Soul

Apart from grabbing nominations in the Ghana Music Awards 2022, Cina Soul was also featured on Akwaboah’s ‘Obiaa’ song which was also nominated.

If her song ‘Feelings’ doesn’t win Best Highlife Song, she says she would be happy for Akwaboah to win with ‘Obiaa’.

Cina Soul announced the competition for Best Highlife Song would be between her song “Feelings” and Akwaboah’s “Obiaa” on Kastle FM in Cape Coast.

“Being nominated among folks like Kinaata, Eugene, and all these others feels great,” she remarked.

In the event that she does not win, she does not care whether Akwaboah wins the Best Highlife Song award with Obiaa.

On the Kastle Entertainment Show, she said she was torn between her song Feelings and Akwaboah’s Obiaa for the Highlife song award.

AKWABOAH ADMITS TO WATCHING ‘PONO’

Prolific songwriter and singer Akwaboah Jnr has opened up about his private life and growing up.

During an interview on Adom TV’s Ahosepe Xtra show, the Ghanaian singer admitted to watching pornographic films. According to Akwaboah, peer pressure influenced him to google such sexual content on the internet.

As a young guy growing up you are very curious, you may have heard stories but don’t know what it looks like. Obviously, you will google to find out about the things you have heard of over and over again, what are they talking about,” he revealed.

The artiste explains that he watched such sexual content online not because he wanted to try it or try it. According to him, that gave him the upper hand to have something to say when he meets his friends and they are talking about sex.

“It’s not about the skills but the curiosity that comes with it. You know the issue with boys, boys…in case one brings the topic up you can also have something to say. Peer pressure. So you need to know what it is. That’s how come I got there on the site,” he said.

CONTINUE SLEEPING AROUND BUT KNOW YOU ARE SELLING YOUR GLORY AND BLESSINGS – Akwaboah To Ladies

Ghanaian singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist, Akwaboah Jnr has warned ladies who live promiscuous lifestyles just for material gains to be careful as they are ruining their future.

Akwaboah averred in a video posted on her Instagram page ladies who are sleeping with multiple men and exploiting their sexual life to the fullest with men are selling their glory and blessings.

According to him, such women would only realize in the future that they wasted their youthful days when they are struggling in their marriage and hopes they find the right man as soon as possible.

“It’s good for you to date as many men as you want, chill with many as you want. Sleep with many as you want but I pray you find Mr Right.

“When he comes and he is hustling and working himself off and is not making anything to take care of you and probably your kids, remember that you sold your oil, your blessings and your glory to some cheap people out there for a small price and the person who takes the fall is your husband, your kids and yourself.”

“So go ahead, date as many as you want, be as smart as you want to but when the time comes, you will soon remember.”
