Abeiku Santana put up the theatrics of his own as a way of expressing his heartfelt appreciation to songstress Adina after he gifted him a nice portrait of himself.

The ace broadcaster had no idea what the relatively consistent singer had in store for him when he hosted her in the studios of Okay FM for an interview session.

After the interview, Adina informed Abeiku that she has a surprise for him and when the giant gift was unwrapped and he saw that it was a portrait of himself carved in his handsome resemblance, he put up a cameo show.

On seeing the beautiful piece of artwork done on him, he collapsed to the floor in shock, albeit a bit of melodrama to reinforce his gratitude.

Watch the video below;

Abeiku Santana has expressed his disappointment in the government for neglecting the genuine concerns of Ghanaians on the passage of the E-Levy bill.

Widespread criticism of the government started growing in the country after Parliament approved on Tuesday the controversial electronic transaction tax, which the government says will help raise $900m in much-needed revenue.

The E-levy bill, passed on Tuesday, will introduce a 1.5 percent tax on electronic money transfers and transactions.

President Nana Akufo-Addo has said the move will help address problems from unemployment to the country’s high public debt.

But for many Ghanaians, the tax represents yet another burden as living costs heightened by soaring fuel prices due to the Ukraine crisis piles even more pressure.

Abeiku Santana who was a panel member on yesterday’s United Showbiz mentioned that he was disappointed in Vice President Mahamadu Bawumia who before the 2020 election mentioned that his government won’t tax mobile money transaction since it will have a massive impact on the population.

But two years down the lane the same tax he boldly declared won’t be introduced has now been passed into law.

FIGHT YOUR FIGHT’ – Shatta Wale Replies To Abeiku Santana After He Mentioned His Name While Blasting VGMA Organizers

Award-winning Ghanaian Dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly called Shatta Wale has given an epic reply to Abeiku Santana.

The popular radio presenter mentioned the name of Shatta Wale while blasting the organizers of VGMA.

The Okay FM presenter accused VGMA organizers of doing favoritism.

His outburst came after Kofi Kinaata and Fameye were not nominated in the 2022 VGMA Artiste of the Year category.

To him, these musicians deserve the nomination in that category.

He stated that he lives the organizers in the hands of Shatta Wale.

But in a post sighted by, Shatta Wale said Abeiku Santana and others should fight their fight as he is in America.

He reacted: “Abeiku santana pls you ppl shd fight your fight, as at now I AM FUCKING in America 😂…Thank you 🙏 😜.”

It appears, seasoned radio broadcaster and tour expert, Abeiku Aggrey Santana is impressed and satisfied with the performance of the new Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akufo Dampare as he has tipped him as a man with the potentials of the president.

In one of his radio sessions, Abeiku Santana heaped praises on the IGP for supporting citizens when commercial drivers went on a sit-down strike over the high increase in prices of fuel.

The Ghana Police Service under the leadership of the IGP Dr George Akuffo Dampare on Monday, 6th December 2021 made available buses to assist stranded commuters during the nationwide strike.

Abeiku Santana sees the move by the IGP as a laudable one and he declared that he would personally campaign and vote for him should he decide to run for Presidency after his retirement.

According to Abeiku Santana, he has come to respect the Ghana Police Service since the new IGP put measures in place to make the service regain its lost credibility.

‘STOP GOING TO HOTELS WITHOUT CONDOMS’ – Abeiku Santana To Ghanaian Celebrities

Astute radio and television presenter, Abeiku Santana has appealed to Ghanaian celebrities to take condoms to hotels as they go about their businesses and also stop patronizing hotels that do not make condoms available in their room.

Abeiku Santana in a recent broadcast on Okay FM monitored by Pulsegh acknowledged condoms as a very important commodity, but very difficult for some to buy.

He pointed to the fact that a lot of the male celebrities get hooked to ladies outside their marriage and relationships and due to the unplanned circumstances, they get them pregnant which they never wanted.

The tourism ambassador asked the hotels to put the condoms in the hotels free of charge to compliment tourists who come into the county.

“One of the things that are difficult to buy but very important is a condom,” he said. “Most celebrities are confronted with unplanned ladies that come their way on weekends or some Fridays. After arranging with the lady, they check into hotels, then remember they have no condoms on themselves. At that moment, if you sell the condom for Ghc5,000 or Ghc500, they will buy it. Those of you working at the front desk should reason and think because the Nigerians are smart”.

“We are pleading with hotels in Ghana that instead of placing toiletries in hotel rooms, place condoms in hotel drawers. When the person comes he is a pastor, he can choose not to use it. How much is a condom that a hotel cannot provide? he asked.

EIB Network boss, Kwabena Adisi popularly known as Bola Ray joined forces with astute broadcaster, Abeiku-Aggrey Santana have been spotted in a couple of pictures holding a donation exercise at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.

The photos were sighted on the Instagram page of the Okay FM presenter.

It has been reported that the two media gurus and best of friends stormed the health facility to extend their benevolence to some lucky people and selected staff of the hospital.  These photos also capture some members of their team who were present at the hospital’s premises to grace the donation exercise.

This is not the first time both revered industry persons have stretched their alms to help the poor and less privileged. Aside from entertainment and media, they are also known for their humanitarian and philanthropic works.

Sharing the heart-touching pictures on his IG page, Abeiku Santana wrote;

”Giving is the greatest Act of Grace ~we are here to support Kumasi Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital”

Ghanaian celebrities have shown their massive love for Genevieve Aggrey, the wife of renowned broadcaster and tourism enthusiast, Abeiku Santana.

Abeiku Santana had taken to his Instagram page and showered encomium on his wife in a heartfelt message to celebrate her on her birthday.

“Without you my Life is Like…

Day without Sun ☀️ or Night without Moon 🌝

In your eyes , I have found my home in my life. You are mine and I am yours.

I just want to tell you that , I’m happy to have you in my Life.

I love you with my whole heart ❤️

Happy Birthday to my wife

Mrs Genevieve Benyiwah Aggrey “

Following his remarkable expression of love to Genevieve, some celebrities and fans of the Okay FM presenter shared videos of them wishing Mrs Genevieve Aggrey a happy birthday.

WHERE DID YOU GO TO JOURNALISM SCHOOL?- Kwadwo Sheldon Drags Abeiku Santana

Ghanaian Youtuber and social commentator, Kwadwo Sheldon has dragged ace broadcaster, Abeiku Santana over his recent interview with BET award-winner, Sarkodie.

You would recall that Abeiku Santana during the interview on Okay FM which was part of Sarkodie’s media tour following the release of his new album ‘No Pressure’ asked him if Kwadwo Sheldon is his friend and in his response he denied him saying he does not know Kwadwo Sheldon.

Sarkodie emphasized that he sees his comments as a fan saying what he wants to spew about his brand.

Well, Kwadwo Sheldon wasn’t happy as he took to the bird app to rant about it but has now taken to his YouTube channel with a whole video about it as he questions where Abeiku Santana went for his journalism school.

‘SAY NO TO THE PRESIDENTIAL SPOUSES SALARIES’ – Abeiku Santana Launches Campaign Against Akufo Addo’s Government

Popular Ghanaian broadcaster, Gilbert Abeiku Santana has opposed the decision by the state to pay First lady and Second Lady of Ghana.

As reported earlier, the Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah affirmed government’s resolve to pay outdated salaries and allowances from 2017 when the NPP government came to power to 2021 and that includes surviving spouses of Head of States.

“The truth of the matter is that all surviving spouses of Heads of State, current and former, have always received salaries. Lordina Mahama, Naadu Mills, Matilda Amissah-Arthur, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, Faustina Acheampong, Fulera Liman, etc have all been receiving salaries since President Kufuor’s time,” he said.

“What has happened now is that the arrangement has been made formal, but that was done legally based on the recommendation by the Emoluments Committee [in 2019],” he added.

Placing his two cents on the controversial issue, Abeiku Santana pointed out that developed countries who have the means and can afford to do so do not waste money to pay the wives of their presidents and their vice presidents but poor countries like Ghana wants to expend such monies on the First Lady and Second Lady.

He revealed plans to stage a demonstration against the move the government is about to make.

He began a campaign on social media with a post he made on his Instagram page saying, “Listen to advice and accept instruction, so that you may gain wisdom for the future.“

“Even countries that can afford it won’t do that. Say no to the Presidential Spouses Salaries”, the broadcaster added.
