Jamaican dancehall legend, Beenie Man has opened up on his relationship with Ghanaian Reggae and dancehall icon, Stonebwoy.
Beenie man born Anthony Moses Davis revealed that he’s known Stonebwoy since he was 17 years and even thought he’s a Jamaican until he spoke his mother’s language, Ewe.
In an interview with Abeiku Santana, on Accra-based Okay FM Beenie Man stated that Stonebwoy loves the dancehall genre so much that he knows their language.
According to him, he thought Stonebwoy was a Jamaican who was trapped in Ghana until he heard him speaking the local language adding that he’s one of the few dancehall musicians who knows everything about the genre.
Beenie Man emphasized that Stonebwoy knowing their language and the originators of the dancehall genre made him know they he could become a maestro in dancehall
