Popular Kumawood actor Akwasi Boadi better known as Akrobeto has debunked claims by a section of Ghanaians that Kumawood collapsed because of colleague actor, Adu Kofi popularly referred to as Agya Koo.
Akrobeto revealed that the main reason why the Kumawood movie industry took a nose dive is because of ‘dumsor’ a local term for intermittent power or electricity cut as consumers of movies could not watch the movies they purchased from the market.
He further claimed that telenovelas surged up at the time the power crisis was being resolved making consumers of local movies uninterested in buying them.
