Pop princess Mariah Carey must be a little worried about tottering around on-stage in those giant heels while on tour.

After adding extra dates to her Sweet Sweet Fantasy world tour, the queen of diva demands has allegedly added to her insurance policy which covers her vocal cords and perfect pins. Her voice and legs will now be insured for an eye-popping $70million, an estimated £49million.

Mariah, 46, is currently performing in Eastern Europe and according to TMZ, now risks losing millions if something were to go wrong during the extra shows. To cover herself, the policy now allegedly includes $35million for her vocal cords, and $35million for her incredible legs.

Known for her crazy demands while touring , Mariah is often used to getting her own way. She reportedly has at least 11 bodyguards surrounding her table while at a restaurant so diners can’t see her eat and once asked for a £50,000 antique table to be flown from New York to London, to be used while she signed autographs.

And when it comes to her sleeping arrangements, Mariah demands 20 humidifiers in her bedroom, to encourage rainforest conditions. She said: “Basically it’s like sleeping in a steam room. “The bed is all towelling cloth, the ceiling is sloped so the water can’t fall on my head and it drips down to my side. My TV is behind glass.”

With so many tailored requests, you’d think things would run super smoothly when it comes to live shows. But in true Mariah style, the pop queen recently left thousands of fans waiting an extra 45 minutes before she came on stage in Leeds.

At 3.03pm, Maria tweeted: “I hate leaving this fabulous bed at Corinthia London. See you all in Leeds in 30 minutes.”

She had clearly not taken into account the fact a flight from London to Leeds Bradford airport takes at least an hour.
