ZYNELL ZUH, JOSELYN DUMAS, OTHERS WIN AWARDS IN LONDON

Ghanaian showbiz personalities Joselyn Dumas, Medikal and Zynnell Zuh were among 24 award recipients at the 2018 International Achievement Recognition Awards held in London.

The awards show which took place at the Hilton Hotel London Canary Wharf on Saturday September 22, 2018 saw Joselyn Dumas, Medikal and Zynnell Zuh pick Best Actress, Best African Music Artist and Best Young Actress respectively.

Other winners including Man’s Not Hot hit maker Michael Dapaah aka Big Shaq, Vijay Joseph and many others.

Founded in 2014, IARA is aimed at celebrating artists across the Art and Entertainment industry; for Excellence, Inclusion, Diversity, Equality, and Innovations. The awards confers, highlight outstanding talents, laudable initiatives and recognise the hard work of those in Theatre, Music, Film/TV and the Fashion industry.

Glitz Africa held its annual award show, “Glitz Style Awards”, on Saturday September 1, 2018 at the plush Movenpick Ambassador Hotel  in Accra, Ghana.

The event, hosted by Idia Aisien from Nigeria and Ghanaian Actor/Fashion Designer, Elikem Kumordzie, was held to honor individuals setting fashion trends in Ghana and across the African continent.

The event was attended by Becca, Efya, Zynnell Zuh, Anita Akuffo, Juliet Ibrahim, Sister Deborah, Eazzy, King Promise, Efia Odo, Eazzy, Gloria Sarfo, Martha Ankomah and more.

The glamorous event organised by Glitz Africa, also sought to strengthen the growing fashion industry by establishing, developing and promoting international industry standards here in Ghana.

The event, according to the organisers, is an opportunity for the fashion industry to celebrate and promote the extraordinary creative talents in Ghana and across the African continent.

The Zylofon Media actress tied the knot to Akwesi Boateng at a private ceremony. Bright and Akwasi Boateng tied the knot on Saturday, July 14 2018 in Accra with several stars, family, friends, and fans showing up to support the them.

Moesha Boduong, social media comedienne Maame Esi Forson, Zynnell Zuh, James Gardiner, Toosweet Annan, Peter Richie, Quin Rozzy (Nana Appiah Mensah’s wife), Salma Mumin, A-Plus, Maxwell Mensah (Nana Ama McBrown;s husband), Gloria Osei Sarfo and many other public figures were at the traditional wedding ceremony to throw their weight behind their friend and colleague.

ZYNNEL ZUH WINS ‘MOST GLAMOROUS CELEBRITY’ AT GHANA MAKEUP AWARDS 2018

Actress Zynnell Lydia Zuh has been crowned Most Glamorous Celebrity at the 2018 Ghana Makeup Awards.

The 2018 edition of the Ghana Makeup Award came off on Saturday, April 28, at Kempinski Gold Coast City Hotel in Accra.

Zynnell was nominated alongside, Nana Ama McBrown, Selly Galley and Berla Mundi and she emerge winner.

After sieving through a total of 2,400 applicants, the highest so far in the history of the event, a host of celebs, and makeup artistes were nominated for the various categories.

Wholesalers, consumers, industry advocates and public-sector partners of the makeup and beauty industry in Ghana were also nominated.

Zynnel Zuh needs no introduction when it comes to fashion in Ghana as she is a ‘slay’ queen.

As usual left her prints on the red carpet as she appeared in a sleek outfit which caught the attention of many at the event.

Stars came to shine on Saturday October 28, 2017 at Silverbird Cinemas at  Accra and West Hills Malls, where celebrated Ghanaian actress and executive producer, Nadia Buari premiered her latest movie, Deranged on Saturday night.
The premiering event had a successful turnout as  movie enthusiasts came out in their numbers to watch the movie about  a young girl who falls in love with her teacher.
The cinemas were packed with huge crowd by 6:30pm, everyone wanting to see the movie and also catch a moment with their favorite celebrities on the red carpet.
As usual some members of the star-studded cast including Nadia Buari, Zynnell Zuh, Priscilla Opoku Agyeman popularly known as  Ahonfe Patri and the crew took turns to take  pictures and engaged with fans and the traditional media  on the red carpet.
Other actors who came to support Nadia included Selassie Ibrahim.
“Life and it’s little things people ignore gave me the inspiration. It’s kind of a way of bringing awareness to certain disorders such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorders that are usually ignored and I love psychological thrillers. So all in one package,” director, Jameel Buari said about the inspiration behind the movie’s storyline.
Deranged is no doubt entertaining. It also silently creates awareness for the need to pay attention to persons with mental ailment.
It also stars Ramsey Nouah , Jason E.L Agha, Henry Prempeh and Lisbeth Lopez Acquah among others and also produced by John N. Okwugo.

I LOVE EXPENSIVE FASHION – Zynnell Zuh

Beautiful actress and celebrated fashion star, Zynnell Zuh, has said she does not compromise on quality when it comes to choosing a fashion style.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with News One on Tuesday about winning Ghana’s most stylish movie star of the year at the 2017 Glitz Style Awards, she said her style doesn’t come cheap.

She always goes for expensive fashion, and that justifies her winning at the style award.

“Yes, a bit expensive. I love quality and quality doesn’t come cheap,” Zynnell added.

The ‘slaying’ icon beat three other top movie personalities like Joselyn Dumas, Jackie Appiah and Elikem Kumordzie to emerge Ghana’s most stylish movie star of the year at the award ceremony, which was held at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra on Saturday evening.

She won the award two years in a row over a number of ‘slay queens’ in the movie industry.

“It’s great to be recognised. The nomination was a triumph and winning, of course, is the ultimate, especially winning this award two years in a row. I was Ghana’s most stylish movie star in 2016 and this year I retained the title. I Feel like I’m floating on cloud 9,” she said about winning the award.

According to her, her style patterns are inspired by different things.

“I’m a visual and a very detailed person. My world is a happier place when I’m surrounded by what I perceive to be beautiful design so from the interior of my home, how my clothes and shoes are displayed in my closet, how I wrap up gifts and even when it comes to my work as a film producer. It’s important to me that things look nice and of course of good quality so the way I dress is the natural extension of my appreciation of aesthetics,” Zynnell revealed.

“My style is a fusion of latest fashion trends and along with a choice of my own and it is inspired by my favourite colours, what’s in style, old Hollywood style icons like Marilyn Monroe and Kathrine Hepburn, various foreign cultural fashion trends like those from France, Italy, India, etcetera, my mood and, of course, the impression I want to leave that day,” she added.

Zynnell remains one of Ghana’s most favourite actresses. She has been around since 2004, and featured in a number of movies and personally producing her own movies. She is among actors who were recently signed on to Zylofon Media, and has also become popular for her fashion exploits on the red carpets.

Sensational entertainment company – Zylofon Media, has officially unveiled its ultra-modern office in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi.

The grand opening of the office located at Anloga Junction had most of the top music and movie stars in the region gracing the occasion on Thursday August, 3, 2017.

Familiar faces present included; Emelia Brobbey, Bill Asamoah, Mercy Asiedu, Papa Kumasi, Ellen White, Wyoosi, Big Akwes, Flowking Stone, Samuel Ofori, Maame Serwaa and many others.

Head of Production at Zylofon Media Enoch Atakorah, in his statement said, their office is open for business, which they intern to support Kumawood movie so they can get their movie and other contents can be bought and shared on online.

Also speaking at the launch Mr. Sammy Baah, Head of Public Relations at Zylofon Media said: “the long -awaited office has finally been unveiled and I believe your cry has finally been answered because Zylofon is here to support and also provide all the necessary logistics to aid film-makers, musicians and other great talents in showbiz fraternities”.

He continued that, Zylofon as a company seeks to appreciate the work of developers; by exchanging value for their works. Zylofon Media sees the entertainment and creative arts industry as the new phase of entrepreneurship in Ghana and beyond hence aspires to invest its resources into this growing industry. ZYLOFON MEDIA LAUNCH GHANA ARTS CLUB

Entertainment Company Zylofon Media, in its quest to help grow the Ghanaian entertainment industry, has launched an all-inclusive arts club in the country.

The launch of the club is part of several activities activated by the fast-growing entertainment and media outfit in the past few months.

Recently, Zylofon Media revealed its intentions of venturing into movie productions. In line with this intention, the company has unveiled five actors they say will spearhead and help them achieve that dream.

The five – James Gardiner, Bibi Bright, Toosweet Annan, Zynnell Zuh and Benedicta Gafah were unveiled at a ceremony at the Zylofon Media headquarters in Accra last Friday.

Prior to the unveiling of the five movie personalities, the company had also signed on five musicians – Kumi Guitar, Becca, Stonebwoy, Joyce Blessing and Obibini – to Zylofon Music wing of the company.

The Ghana Arts Club, according to the company, will train and give professional help to budding talents in the art and the entertainment industry.

With a registration fee of ¢600, up-and-coming musicians, models and actors will get access to all entertainment facilities at Zylofon Media.

The three branches of the club are headed by accomplished music producer, Willi Roi; experienced model and fitness coach, Joshua Ansah; and renowned actor and film producer Eddie Nartey respectively.

Speaking at the unveiling on Friday, Samuel Atuobi Baah, Head of Communications at Zylofon Media noted that the club will help provide a good hub of creative arts talents who will take over from the country’s older creative arts practitioners.

He stressed that apart from the Ghana Arts Club proving an indirect investment to the creative arts industry, it will serve as a pool of talents where various outfits can tap into.
