“MY WIFE IS MY VALENTINE” – Van Vicker

For the past 23 years since Van Vicker met his wife, Adjoa Vicker, at the Kotokuraba station in Capecoast, the Divine Love actor has always looked forward to Valentine’s Day.

His reason? Adjoa Van Vicker who he has been married to for the past 13 years has been the “definition of what Valentine projects”.

“For me, my wife is my valentine and I celebrate her each day for being supportive all these years. I had known her for 10 years before we officially got married and each day, she gives me a reason to look forward to Valentine’s day to celebrate her in a special way,” the talented actor said of his wife in a chat with Showbiz on Saturday.

Being in the limelight as a celebrity is believed to have some consequences on one’s marriage, one that the Loyal Enemies actor admits but he said fame hasn’t been a hindrance in discharging his duties as the head of his home.

He told Showbiz that the interests of his family, especially his partner has always been paramount in his decision making.

“Sincerely, I don’t know if any other woman would understand me the way Adjoa does. We both have our flaws but our marriage is still going strong because it has been built on the foundation of transparency and honesty,” he said.

A “lover man” as he depicts in most of his movie roles, Van Vicker gave a broad smile as he narrated his most memorable Valentine experience.

“Back in Mfantsipim, we always wrote love letters to our girlfriends and I remember I received a huge Valentine’s card from my partner. I was the centre of attraction and my guys flowed me all the fans on the day. The feeling was unique and I still have good memories of the day,” he stated.

Tomorrow, February 14, is officially a lover’s day and the award winning actor looks forward to having dinner with his family. That he said, won’t be all, since he has a “special treat” for his life partner after the family’s dinner.

Born Joseph Van Vicker, he began his journey in Showbiz as a radio presenter at Groove 106.3 fm in 1999.

He also featured in the popular television series, Sun City and had the opportunity to feature in his debut movie, Divine Love.

Van Vicker has been married to Adjoa for 13 years and the couple have three children.

VAN VICKER DENIES AFFAIR WITH MARRIED WOMAN

Actor Van Vicker is confident that the much-vaunted evidence of him having an affair with a married woman won’t stand the test of serious scrutiny.

The actor, who is at the centre of a controversy concerning an affair with his manager, Dr Clarice Ford-Kulah, insists that there is no basis for the allegation.

Earlier this week, Dr Bartum Kulah, who is based in Atlanta, Georgia, alleged on social media that Van Vicker is having “physical” and “emotional affair” with his wife, Dr Ford-Kulah.

He said, “My wife will deny the accusations and claim to be Van Vicker’s Manager and Business partner, that’s what she always says, it’s all a cover up, and I’ve caught them at a hotel twice”.

Dr Ford-Kulah in a statement released Monday rubbished the allegations as baseless. She said the allegations by her husband, Dr Bartum Kulah, are without merit.

According to her, her husband has security issues due to an accident that has completely interrupted his life. “He has been harassing all of my male friends, including pastors, ministers, and deacons for years and I chose to ignore.”

Reacting to the allegation in an interview with Hitz@1, Van Vicker, who is married with kids, said he has worked with Dr Ford-Kulah for more than four years and she is now like family to him.

“She is my manager and we have partnered on a number of projects in terms of movies and for me she has become more of a family than just a manager because I mean we go beyond just manager because she knows my family, she visits, she knows my sister, she knows my mum so she is more of a family than just a manager,” he explained.

Asked if he knew Dr Bartum Kulah, he said, “I don’t know him, well I met him once and that is it.”

Van Vicker denied ever getting intimate with his manager, stressing that, “I can tell you it is outright untrue and like she puts it, it was a nonsense allegation or nonsense accusation. For me, I can say clearly it is absolutely untrue.”

On threats by the man that he has pictures to back his claims that his wife is having an affair with the actor, Van dismissed any evidence as cooked and unsustainable.

“I do not have a problem whatever pictures or videos he’s got. He can put it out there. My only point will be these will be pictures or videos of my manager and I going to events or leaving events or she dropping me off at the hotel or picking me up or taking me to a restaurant. There will be nothing compromising,” he concluded.
