SARKODIE IS A HYPOCRITE AND TOO FULL OF HIMSELF – Shatta Wale Vents

Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has called out his friend Rapper Sarkodie very hush words during a live radio interview this morning on Zylofon FM in Accra.

The “Gringo” hitmaker has discribed Sarkodie as a hypocrite after he(Sarkodie) sent him a congratulatory message to him via Twitter for collaborating with American Singer/Actress Beyoncé on her much anticipated  latest “Zions King: The Gift” album.

Shatta Wale early Wednesday morning on Zylofon 102.1FM described Obidi as a hypocrite. Explaining why he did not retweet Sarkodie’s congratulatory message to him, the SM4LYF boss told Sammy Flex, host of the morning entertainment show that the tweet from Sark was not from his heart.

According to him, Sarkodie has been acting as a boss towards him and that is an attitude he hates.

“Sarkodie has become too known. He was recently on Hitz FM and he was trying to pose big to me. I don’t pose big to people. Music is not about your dress and it’s not about how you speak”, Shatta said.

He continued and explained why he did wish Sarkodie happy birth  “I don’t want hypocrites around me. Sarkodie has always been a hypocrite. I didn’t wish him on his birthday. He think he can tweet about my collabo and make people say he’s a matured person. I won’t retweet his tweet. He can say that message but I know deep down within him it wasn’t a real tweet.”.

Shatta Wale and Sarkodie have being very good friends in the past and done number monster hit collaborations and performed together on countless stages both in and outside Ghana but they have been on loggerheads for sometime now with each of them claiming supremacy over the other.

As at the time of filing this report, Rapper Sarkodie hadn’t reacted to Shatta Wale strong words against him yet.

SHATTA WALE AND STONEBWOY’S PEACE WILL NOT LAST – Pope Skinny

The former right-hand man of Shatta Wale, Pope Skinny has reacted to the peace and unity established between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy yesterday, 30th May 2019.

According to Pope Skinny, the supposed peace found between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy will never last as Ghanaians are hoping it does for the interest of the music industry.

Pope Skinny claims that they were just posing for the camera but he knows for a fact that it won’t last. He further blamed Ghanaians for being hypocrites about the Shatta Wale-Stonebwoy peace.

Interestingly, Pope Skinny claims everyone who is smart like him knows that Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are faking and their peace won’t last

Pope Skinny posted:

“If you are smart like me, you will know that this peace will not last. Hypocrisy Nkuaa Ghana. Posing for the camera. Peace.”

SHATTA WALE & STONEBWOY GRANTED GH¢50,000 BAIL EACH AFTER FIRST COURT APPEARANCE…CASE ADJOURNED TO JUNE 20

Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale have pleaded not guilty to charges they are facing over their involvement in the disturbances that marred the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Shatta Wale is facing a charge of offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace while Stonebwoy has been charged with offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace and display of a firearm in public without permission.

The two were put before a court in Accra today, Wednesday. The court presided over by Magistrate Isaac Addo granted the two bail at a cost of GHc 50,000 with one surety each.

Lawyers Jerry Avenyor and Selali Wonya represented Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy respectively. The case has been adjourned to June 20, 2019. The two were cautioned to be of good behaviour while the case is ongoing.

The scuffle on the stage last Saturday has been a subject of many conversations in the country as it has been widely reported in local and international media. While Stonebwoy was up the VGMA stage taking his award, Shatta Wale, his rival on the music scene, was seen moving towards the stage with a host of others presumed to be his fans.

The security on stage provided cover for Stonebwoy and the few others already up the stage but Stonebwoy’s manager allegedly engaged in fisticuffs with a member of the team moving with Shatta Wale. The incident degenerated into pandemonium with one Nii Amoo spraying pepper spray according to Police report. Stonebwoy also pulled out a gun in the process but there was no sound of a gun fire.

Charterhouse condemns brawl

Organisers of the event condemned the commotion saying it cannot be attributed to security lapses. Head of communications at Charterhouse, George Quaye said the unfortunate incident has more to do with the grand issue of rivalries between musicians and how they are managed.

According to him, both Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, who were the centre of the chaos failed to act responsibly by holding themselves back from taking certain actions which clearly wasn’t going to ensure peace at the event.

“Many are those who have accused Charterhouse of not putting in place adequate security to avert the situation but George Quaye said “it goes beyond that. You will expect an act to know that if I get up here, or if I do this, this is what will happen… Another act should also know that this is what is happening, or the act manager knows that this not the place where I draw out a weapon,” he said on Citi TV‘s Point of View on Monday.

Apologies

Stonebwoy had apologised twice for the brawl.

“I only had to react out of natural instincts because we all know how premeditative some people can be. We’ve seen on social media the threats and everything so we couldn’t come in unprepared because anything could have happened as you guys saw. I come in peace and I go in peace and I apologize to the whole masses of Ghana that the Awards is going to continue,” he said.

“Management of Shatta Wale wishes to render a sincere apology to all patrons of the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), viewers of the event around the world, organizers of the awards, Charterhouse Productions, title sponsors, Vodafone Ghana and all Shatta Movement fans worldwide for the unfortunate incident that happened during the recently held VGMA. We further apologize for all the inconveniences caused on the night and afterwards,” a statement from Shatta Wale’s management stated.

STONEBWOY & SHATTA WALE TO GO TO COURT…AS POLICE RETRIEVE THEIR GUNS

The two rival dancehall artistes – Charles Nii Armah Mensah, also known as Shatta Wale, and Livingston Etse Satekla, whose stage name is Stonebwoy, who were arrested for causing chaos on stage during the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards last Saturday – will be put before a court today.

They have provisionally been charged with three counts: offensive conduct, acts tending to disturb public peace and unlawful display of firearms in a public place.

The two popular musicians were arrested on Sunday and denied bail until Monday evening when they were granted bail. The Greater Accra Regional Police Command said the two would be arraigned in Accra today Tuesday May 21,2018.

Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s Guns:

Police sources say Shatta Wale had a gun on him during the scuffle but did not brandish the weapon like Stonebwoy.

The police have since retrieved both guns. The source said Stonebwoy, in his caution statement, admitted that the gun was licensed. “He was then asked to produce documents to back his point,” the source said.

Stonebwoy’s House

The police then took Stonebwoy to his residence at Ashaiman, near Tema, to conduct a search. The police are also said to be on the heels of the man who reportedly handed over the gun to Stonebwoy on stage.

Shatta Angle

Around 11 am yesterday, Shatta Wale was brought to the Regional Police Command in the company of his lawyer to give his statement. He was said to have been detained at the Ministries Police Station after the incident even though others claimed he was held at the Tesano Police Station.

Stonebwoy was also believed to have been held at the Dansoman Police Station. Shatta sat quietly as his lawyer moved from one office to another to secure his release at the Regional Police Command yesterday.

Meanwhile, another suspect in the matter called Nii Amoo, who was arrested for allegedly discharging pepper spray during the chaos, was still in police custody yesterday.

VGMA Violence

It was an exhibition of sheer lawlessness on Saturday night when Stonebwoy pulled a gun on stage after Shatta Wale and his entourage charged on him. Stonebwoy, with his ‘army’ called Bhim Nation, and Shatta Wale with his ‘militants’ called Shatta Movement or SM for Life,’ engaged in fisticuffs on open stage during the VGMA ceremony, which was telecast live on TV3 and DSTV to more than 43 countries. Some music-loving fans and other patrons were said to have sustained injuries in the ensuing melee.

The Genesis

The pandemonium started after Abeiku Santana was called up stage to present an award to the Songwriter of the Year. After introducing himself, Abeiku then notified the audience that he was on stage to rather present the award for Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year, which was won by Stonebwoy.

While going on stage to pick his award, Stonebwoy showed gestures to the TV cameras and allegedly to Shatta Wale to literally prove that he had won that category over him for five times. Shatta Wale and his ‘militants’ then rushed onto the stage when Stonebwoy was about to give his acceptance speech for winning the category.

Stonebwoy’s manager, Blakk Cedi, was seen preventing Shatta’s crew from getting to Stonebwoy, who then pulled a gun to also protect himself from possible attacks.

Shatta’s Antics

Strangely, before Stonebwoy was declared winner of the reggae/dancehall artiste of the year, Shatta had won two awards but in all of those, he sent representatives to pick them for him. It was, therefore, bizarre that Shatta and his ‘militants’ could move menacingly on stage when he was not the recipient of the award, making the audience believe he was going there to cause trouble.

Incompetent Charterhouse

Some of his followers are claiming he wanted to go on stage to ‘congratulate’ his fiercest rival Stonebwoy, but many people are blaming Charterhouse, the organisers of the VGMA, for the incompetent manner in which it handled the entire event.

Police Statement

The Accra Regional Police Command later released a statement condemning the act. The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Accra Regional Police Command, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Effia Tenge confirmed the arrests of the two key personalities.

“Preliminary investigation, however, reveals that the disturbance occurred after Livingston Etse Satekla @ Stonebwoy was declared winner of the Reggae Dancehall Artiste of the Year Award and had mounted the stage to receive his award. Charles Nii Armah Mensah @ Shatta Wale also moved on stage uninvited, provoking a scuffle between them and their supporters,” it said.

“The event organisers and all suspects are cooperating with the police and those found culpable will be arraigned in due time,” it added.

STONEBWOY & SHATTA WALE GRANTED BAIL AFTER SPENDING A NIGHT IN POLICE CELLS

Reggae Dancehall Artistes, Stonebwoy born Livingstone Este Satekla and Charles Nii Armah, popularly known as Shatta Wale have been granted police inquiry bail and will be arraigned before court ‘in due time’, following chaotic scenes that occurred during the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

The two were arrested on Sunday after camps of both artistes clashed on stage when Stonebwoy was announced as the winner for the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year category.

In the midst of the ensuing melee, Stonebwoy pulled out a gun; an action he has explained in a press statement as self-defence.

According to a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Accra Police command, DSP Efia Tenge on Monday, “the two together with one other suspect, Nii Amoo, who was seen discharging pepper spray in the auditorium were all arrested yesterday 19th May 2019, placed in lawful custody and have been granted bail to be arraigned before court in due time”.

The Accra Regional Police Command yesterday afternoon Sunday, May 19, 2019 arrested Charles Nii Armah Mensah, known in showbiz circles as Shatta Wale, and Livingstone Etse Satekla, also known as Stonebwoy, in connection with the disturbances that rocked the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) in the early hours of Sunday.

The police said they had taken statements from the two artistes and that they would be detained. Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were at the Accra Regional Police Command with their managers.

The Head of the Operations Unit of the Accra Regional Police Command, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mr Kwesi Ofori, who was at the VGMA, told the Daily Graphic that the police “will look into the confusion and other public disorder issues”.

Also invited to assist the police in their investigations were officials of Charter House, the organisers of the event.

Their detentions follow the gun commotion that occurred between them at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Award (VGMA) held on Saturday, May 18, 2019.

The incident occurred after Stonebwoy was invited up stage to receive the award for ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year’.

While Stonebwoy was on stage, Shatta Wale and his fans walked up stage ostensibly to congratulate Stonebwoy but the former ended up pulling a gun.

It remains unclear why he pulled the gun but that incident has been the major topic for discussion throughout the weekend, with fans of both musicians engaging one another in a fierce war of words.

The two are still police custody as at Monday afternoon, May 20, 2018. They were repo

“NAM1 WILL COME BACK STRONG AND PAY EVERY MENZGOLD CUSTOMER”- Shatta Wale Reveals

Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale was in the studios of Joy FM together with his Militants over the weekend where he answered questions from George Quaye aka Aboagye about his career in showbiz.

When asked about his contract with Zylofon Media, he firmly said that indeed his contract with the record label has ended but he’s still with them because of the love he has for the embattled business mogul, Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly called NAM1.

He also maintained that he’s of the strongest conviction that his former boss is not a scammer as people are painting him and that at the right time, he’ll (NAM1) come and pay all the customers of Menzgold.

He said, “My contract with Zylofon has ended on paper though, but my relationship with Zylofon and NAM1, I can’t leave them, so I am still with them to show them the love they shown me, We needed someone like Nana Appiah to save this industry, he is a good man, and I believe he will come back strong and pay every MenzGold customer”.

Shatta Wale also talked about how his beef with Sarkodie started after which he proceeded to talk briefly about his baby mama, Shatta Michy.

JOHN PAINTSIL DENIES DATING SHATTA MICHY

Former Black Stars defender, John Paintsil, has asked bloggers to respect Shatta Wale’s baby mama, Shatta Michy. The footballer is disappointed with false online reports that Shatta Michy is having an affair with him.

Some of the reports indicated that the player had purchased her a house and a car after Shatta Wale allegedly kicked her out of his house. In an interview with Franky 5 on ‘This Is Gospel’, John Paintsil was appalled by the stories and asked bloggers to stop peddling falsehood about Shatta Michy.

“There is nothing going on between me and Shatta Michy. We don’t have that connection. Sometimes I feel so sorry about the way the media just go on and put something that they don’t have any clue about it, destroying peoples homes…If you want to write something about them you have to show some respect,” the defender said.

John Paintsil asked bloggers to stop playing with the emotions of Ghanaians especially because Shatta Michy is a mother.  He also denied claims that he bought a house and car for the ex-girlfriend of Shatta Wale.

Rumours of an affair between the two became widespread after a photo surfaced showing the two sitting next to each other at the F360 Ghana Football Awards in 2018.

The footballer also warned that such false stories could cost him the relationship with his new lover.

“Trying to wrap me around someone’s wife is not on….I have a woman in my life. You putting [out] that story could cause a lot of problems,” he bemoaned.

John Paintsil also revealed on ‘This Is Gospel’ that his new lover helps him immensely with his spiritual growth as a Christian and he is ready to tie the knot with her.

The former Black Stars defender said that his marriage to the mother of his four children, Richlove, ended in 2013 after she filed for divorce.

CONFUSION HITS SHATTA MOVEMENT EMPIRE CAMP

There seem to be looming confusion in the camp of Shatta Movement(SM) Empire headed by dancehall artiste Shatta Wale.

According to reports, the confusion is between Shatta Wale and Blade who is a strong member of the Shatta Movement as well as Rapper Medikal.  Shatta Wale has explained his side of the story to www.sammyflex.comg in a telephone interview.

In a phone interview, Shatta Wale narrated that it all began when he was supposed to shoot a video of a remix he had done with AMG Medikal “omo ada”.

According to Shatta one of his men called Blade took an amount of 7,000 Ghana cedis on his behalf from Medikal without his knowledge. Shatta continued that he called Medikal and confronted Blade on how the money got to him (Blade), and the process made Blade feel offended which started the confusion.

There has been some exchange of words, police arrest and social media attacks in the camp with videos from both sides of the divide blaming the other for wrong doing.

Listen to Shatta Wale chat with Sammy Flex below in parts 1 & 2 .

Meanwhile, Shatta Wale said he has sacked Pope Skinny, Bone and Blade out of his Shatta Movement camp backing his move by revealing that the three paddies are ‘Sellouts’.

“After this video I accepted you guys and now you came back with a mind to really fuck up my shatta movement .No wonder they never wanted people to come close to me ,I mean people who got love ..People forget soo soon… my people beware of people you forgive when people say do ..Listen to yourself and don’t trust and make nobody make your decision for you .. God forgives us so I tried to forgive but little did they know I also had a back up plan .. Beware of stone ,Bone , blade , good over evil and pope skinny .. They will never be part of my Journey anymore .. Anything they come out to say is Fabricated .. God guide me and my militants.” – Shatta Wrote.

Few hours after Shatta took such the bold decision, Pope Skinny counter replied him with a diss song dubbed ‘Ochokobila’, which is a local term for someone you are having a ‘beef’ or an issue with.

Pope’s move has triggered his one time best friend ‘Shatta Wale’ to reveal his dirty secrets. According to Shatta in a series of posts on his social media handles, Pope Skinny is a rapist. See what The Asuoden God posted on Snapchat…. earlier today.

Few minutes late Popskinny was quoted in a video saying Shatta Wale is using juju.

“Every year you dey fight with somebody .. your time has come… God bless you … We know.. That why we all..we dey follow you… But you see… the juju wey you add am… God go exposed you because the God wey you dey mention em no be God”… Said Popskinny.
