‘Happy anniversary my queen. You are more than a wife. You have lived up to the responsibility of nourishing my family with all your time and resources. Your love hits different. The 13 years spent with you have been the best 13 years of my life. I have always known I would live a happy life, but I didn’t know you would be one of the main reasons why. My challenge now is to keep changing how I love you as you keep changing through the years as a woman. My promise is to love whoever or what ever you become. Happy Anni-versary. @mrsokyeame ❤️’
Legendary Ghanaian rapper, Okyeame Kwame has disclosed that he was born with dyslexia and dyscalculia, a type of brain disorder.
Dyslexia is a general term for disorders that involve difficulty in learning to read or interpret words, letters, and other symbols, but that does not affect general intelligence.
Okyeme Kwame told The Chronicle he was unable to identify speech sounds and has difficulty in making arithmetical calculations.
“I was born dyslexic so even when I was 10 years old, I couldn’t say my ABC or my 123. My father was so troubled that he is very smart but his son is not smart. They were not able to diagnose that it was dyslexia and dyscalculics so they became very afraid that I would grow up and become nothing”, the multiple award-winning rapper said.
“I used to feel like trash; because my mother will take me to her friend, my class 2 Teacher who will hit me on the head every morning and mention that I was blockheaded. Because my mother is a teacher, she would mention that why is a Teacher’s son this blockheaded?
I would come home and couldn’t do my homework so my mother will call my uncle to come home and beat me and when I cry, they would beat me the more that I like crying” Okyeame Kwame added.
“I grew up with no confidence as a result. When I completed my O levels in 1992, I had all 9s except Akan that I had 2. There was this rapper in Kumasi called Lord Marcus. I went to him and asked him to teach me how to rap. Then he said I want to see your O levels results; when he saw it, he said I am blockheaded, you can’t rap.
“But then I pleaded with him and he said you know what, I am going to teach you how to rap but rap is an intelligent game. He said he would give me a book and then he will teach me one literary device and will ask me to read the book in four days and underline all the metaphors, alliteration, personification, etc” the rapper recounted.
Ghanaian musician Okyeame Kwame has stated that from the day he got married to his wife that’s 16 years ago, he has never cheated or thought of cheating on her.
On TV3 New Day with the host Cookie, he expressed his everlasting love for his wife and explained that it is one of the reasons for their marriage sustainability.
Okyeame Kwame emphasized that young men and women should desist from having an affair outside their relationship which could lead to its failure but rather make decisions that will favor their relationship and ensure its longevity
“I really do not think it is wise for me to have an affair with other women aside from my wife. I try my best to have a very honest persona at home so that my children and wife can come through me without tension.”
Legendary Ghanaian rapper, Okyeame Kwame has revealed that he was happy when he heard the news about his grandmother’s death.
Okyeame Kwame born Kwame Nsiah Apau told Andy Dosty in an interview on Daybreak Hitz show on Hitz FM that unlike others who express sadness and grief over their family member’s death, it was a moment of joy hearing his grandmother had died.
According to the Rap Doctor, his grandmother passed on at the age of 101 and her illness was so bad that she was being fed with tubes because she could not eat by herself and that shows the extent to which she suffered before she gave up ghost.

Rapper Okyeame Kwame has asked Ghanaians to let the newest celebrity lovebirds in town, Medikal and Fella Makafui, whose love affair grabbed headlines last week, to be and have fun for they are young.
Commenting on the on Medical and Fella Makafui trending love affair, on 3Music on TV3 last Friday, Okyeame Kwame said “They’re young people let them have fun…young people should have fun; they should express themselves”
He told host of the #3MusicFlava, Lenny Lomotey that though everyone wished Medikal took Sister Derby to the altar but the fact that it didn’t happen does not mean life cannot go on.
“I mean what were you expecting? That Medikal and Deborah will get married? If it happened like that all of us would go for the wedding, [but] it didn’t happen, let life go on!” advised.
Rumours surfaced last week that the Tema-based rapper, Medikal, had fallen out of love with his longtime girlfriend, Deborah Vanessa, known in showbiz as sister Derby after about three years of dating.
Actress Fella Makafui’s name came up as the new found love of Medikal.
Though the two did not explicitly confirm their breakup, tweets from them and subsequent release of singles from suggested they were no longer together. Medikal and Fella Makafui have since last week been frolicking and showing off their affection for each other through social media posts.
But in her single titled Kakalika, the ‘Uncle Obama’ hit maker laughed off the love brewing between Medikal and Fella, claiming the pair were behaving like cockroaches at the time they started seeing each other at her blindside.
The Too Risky hitmaker, however, suggested in his single, which featured King Promise, that Sister Derby was worrying him with marriage. Medikal also praised the physique of his new found love as he likened Fella’s backside to “a plantation”.
