Celebrated Ghanaian Reggae musician, Rocky Dawuni declared his stance on the mandatory vaccination imposed by the government through the health ministry following the surge in new COVID-19 variant, Omicron cases in Ghana.
The government issued a directive for all citizens to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as parts of measures to curb infections and the spread of the virus.
They reportedly stated that persons who have not vaccinated and don’t have the card to show that they have not been vaccinated will be denied access to travel outside the country.
Reacting to this, Rocky Dawuni asserted that the idea that you will force people against their will to take an experimental substance is a violation of their basic human right and an affront to every principle of democracy.
Rocky Dawuni in a post on his Instagram page pointed out that we did not fight for our independence only to hand it to the bidding of new economic masters.
According to the two-time Grammy nominee, the slippery slope of global tyranny and fascism are not obvious when fear is used as an instrument of complicity.
