THIS YEAR’S VGMA RED CARPET FASHION IS NOT IMPRESSIVE – Oscar Yao Doe

President and Executive Chairman of Eurostar Limousine, Mr. Oscar Yao Doe has expressed his disappointments as far as fashion on the red carpet at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2019 is concern.

Oscar, a well known fashion critic and enthusiast believes the various fashion styles exhibited at the event especially by celebrities is nothing to write home about and he lays the blame solely on Fashion Designers and stylists who styled these stars for biggest entertainment awards event in Ghana.

Mr. Doe who is head of the review panel of Ghana Fashion Review that rewards celebrities for their looks on the red carpet, shared his candid opinion on the VGMA 2019 red carpet via social after monitoring the awards night and red carpet pictures after the event.

He posted his opinion via the comment section of @Nkonkonsa’s Instagram page hinting that him and his review panel may revive the Ghana Fashion Review initiative to raise the standard again.

“This Year VGMA Red Carpet not impressive! I blame the designers! Almost about 90% of the dresses are not best crafted! I hope the designers will raise their game next time! Even though there have been a lot of improvement with all the efforts we made years ago to encourage red Carpet appearance in Ghana! We still have a long to go! Our designers have to pay more attention to details! We shall take a second look at perhaps reviving the Red Carpet appearance again! @nkonkonsa Please note: this comment is General and it’s my personal opinion”.

Some fashion influencers also agree with Oscar Doe’s opinion stating that there was no “wow factor” and creativity was considerably low on the red carpet this year compared to previous years.

The Ghana Fashion Review is an initiative instituted by car rental company, Eurostar Global Limousine Group, with support from Nkonkonsa.com, Ameyawdebrah.com, Ghanagist.com, Ghkwaku.com, Ytainment.com, Starr FM, Zionfelix.net, Cypressgh.com, GHFashionMarketing, and 4Syte TV. The initiative aims to promote decency among celebrities in Ghana and beyond.

Since 2015 when panel was constituted, about $500,000 have been invested in awarding various celebrities to encourage them to take the fashion and glamour side of show business very serious.
