MINISTRY OF TOURISM, ARTS & CULTURE VISITS FAMILY OF LATE HIGHLIFE LEGEND, NANA KWAME AMPADU

The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Dr. Awal Mohammed paid a visit to the home of late Highlife legend, Nana Kwame Ampadu to commiserate with the family following his demise.

You would recall that the “Obra” hitmaker kicked the bucket on Tuesday, September 28, at the Legon Hospital in Accra where he was receiving treatment for an illness, according to several media reports. He passed on aged 76.

His death came as a shock to many industry people and fans.

On this heartbreaking development the Hon. Awal Mohammed and his deputy, Hon. Mark Okraku Mantey stormed the residence of the fallen hero and console them with words of comfort.

With a heavy heart, Hon. Awal Mohammed made an undisclosed cash donation to the bereaved family and pledged to support in giving late Nana Kwame Ampadu a befitting burial. The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts we accompanied by some industry stakeholders including music executive Akwasi Ernest, Frankie 5, Socrates Safo and many others.

The Minister and his deputy also signed the book of condolence to formalize and conclude their visit.
