‘I’M SORRY’- SARKODIE APOLOGIZES TO NANA AKUFO ADDO OVER HARSH TWEET

BET award-winner, Michael Owusu Addo known in showbiz as Sarkodei has tendered a heartfelt apology to the president of Ghana, H.E Nana Akufo Addo over a seemingly ‘unpleasant’ post on social media following his ‘Happy Day’ song.

NKONKONSA.com recalls that weeks before the 2020 elections, the Tema-based rapper released a song ‘Happy Day’ featuring Kuami Eugene and it was seen by a cross section of Ghanaians as a politically-inspired song with the goal of campaigning for President Akufo Addo.

Following the release of the song, President Akufo-Addo acknowledged the song and taking to Twitter at that time, he added the NPP’s popular slogan “The Battle Is Still The Lord’s.

However, Sarkodie after knowing what the gesture could mean and be interpreted by Ghanaians, he responded  setting it straight that the song is not for him amidst a slight drama that somewhat escaped the radar.

The rapper had replied;

“Nana M3nfa bronya ho nre akoko oo lool !! when I say aban ( all parties ) Shouts to yourself x JM but if i feel like pointing out the negatives too you know how we do.”

Fast-forward, in a recent interview he had on Hitz FM, Sarkodie expressed remorse for his tweet and apologized to President Akufo Addo.
