Dancehall artist, Jupitar successfully held his ‘Enemies Concert’ at the Korle Gonno beach last Sunday.

The well attended gig witnessed energetic performances from Jupitar much to the delight of his fans who danced and sang along to his songs, including the hit track ‘Enemies’.


During his performance of ‘Enemies’ a guy in the crowd collapsed. He was later resuscitated and unharmed. It was not clear the cause of the fainting, but it was clear that he was a big fan as he was given an opportunity to express himself on the microphone.

Actress Lydia Forson is hurt because her name was exempted when the first gentleman of the nation was mentioning his favourate movie stars.

The president named his favourite actors and musicians in the country and actress Lydia Forson’s name was absent. The outspoken actress in her recent post has expressed her disappoint at President Mahama’s obvious snub.

“I’m very hurt that I didn’t make it on President Mahama’s list. I’m heartbroken even.Regardless of our personal issues I still watch and enjoy him on TV when he comes on.Why, why why?

I can’t eat, sleep or even manage to drag myself out of bed because of this.

I don’t wish this kind of heartbreak on anyone. I’m even losing weight over it….ok that’s a lie, my butts not going anywhere.

But I’ve never felt so rejected. Anyway, it’s fine I know my broken heart will be alright but one day someone will come along and tell me I’m their favourite actress…#missforson #jokes”.

President Mahama speaking on Unique FM revealed that he prefers Ghanaian movies to Nigeria movies adding that he only watches Ghanaian movies on board the Presidential Jet. He mentioned Agya Koo, Bernard Nyarko, Emilia Brobbey, Kyeiwaa, Jackie Appiah, John Dumelo as his favourite movie stars.

Hiplife artiste Kwaw Kese has come out to explain why he had to lie down in a coffin for one of the scenes in his “Aseda” video which was released recently.

In an interview with, the “Yakubu” singer and rapper said, sometimes you go through things and words are just not enough to describe what you go through. Actions sometimes tell a lot and that was what I just did. In my case, it tells you the level of what I went through.

“We all know that coffin is meant for the dead so I want people to know that I have through Hell and I’m back, I died and I’m back and God has been faithful. He has seen me through a lot and people should have a feel of what I have been through,” he said.

He went further to say, it was not scary at all even though that was the first time, he was doing something like that.

“What I have been through is more scary than me lie down in a coffin so it was not something difficult for me to do at all,” he said.

“Aseda” to wit thanks giving in English is a song that sees Kwaw giving thanks to God for all he has done for him. For God’s love and mercies during his (Kwaw kese) trying moments.

The song featured Duke of D2 fame and it was directed by Alexi Ju Nior and Kwadwo Bediako of Level 7 Films.



Actor Kojo Knansah popularly known as Liwin says it will be an honour to join president John Mahama on the presidential jet while he enjoys his movies.

The President in an interview on Accra-based Uniiq FM, on August 12, 2015 to mark international youth day, disclosed that the Kumasi-based actor is his favourite and he loves watching his movies whenever he traveled on the presidential jet.

Liwin is one of Kumawood’s most successful actors starring in countless movies.

He told Kwame Adinkra on the AM Drive on Atinka FM, Wednesday, August 13, 2015 that he will be extremely happy to be with the president in his presidential jet.

He said he feels blessed to know that the President enjoys what he [Nkansah] does.

Rapper Kwaw Kese is about to make history as the first ever entertainer in Ghana to support the Ghana Prison Service as part of his cooperate social responsibility over a period of twenty years.

The “Swedru Agona” Rapper’s Kwaw Kese Foundation is set to launch an elaborate  twenty year development project which was set up to respond to issues of substance abuse and congestion in the Ghanaian prisons.

“Our aim is to support the Ghana Prisons Service and to a larger extent, the government in its efforts to address infrastructural needs of our prisons. As part of our efforts to achieve that, the foundation and its team would embark on a pre-Launch nationwide tour.” Kwaw Kese stated.

The press launch of the Kwaw Kese-Ghana Prisons Project is scheduled for Tuesday 18th of August, 2015 with a Press Briefing at 8am at the Prisons head Quarters Cantonment. During the program he will outdoor all his plans in the twenty year development plan for Ghanaians to know that the foundation has officially started.

After which the team will head to Accra Mokola to start the tour Dubbed the one Ghana Prisons project at 11 to 4pm in which Kwaw will sing to solicit for money.

The founder, Kwaw Kese, a prolific musician, upon experiencing a devastating incarceration in the Kumasi Central Prisons, decided to embark on this life-changing project to educate and to raise funds to help address the afore mentioned.

Kwaw Kese’s first effort to support the prisons was during this year’s Valentine’s Day when donated several item to the Kumasi Central Prisons.


Gloria SarfoActress Gloria Sarfo has responded to reports she is pregnant but has failed to confirm or deny the reports.

“If it is obvious that I am pregnant, you will see it. I can’t hide a pregnancy,” she told News One on Thursday.

Even though the paper pushed her to get answers, the actress insisted her response was that ‘pregnancy cannot be hidden’.

She also refused to comment on why she had stopped flaunting a promise ring given her by her boyfriend years ago in public.

News that Gloria Sarfo was pregnant hit the grapevine just when she stopped wearing her promise ring, sparking huge speculation on her love life.

Two years ago a certain gentleman, whose name was given as Justice, publicly proposed to the actress in front of a live audience in Kumasi during the then Kumawood and Akoben Awards.

Justice, at the public event, put a promise ring on Gloria Sarfo’s finger, attracting huge public attention to their relationship.

Gloria religiously wore the ring and even flaunted it with pride at the 2013 edition of the Ghana Movie Awards red carpet.

The ring has vanished in recent times yet she has declined to comment on it.

It is currently not certain what happened to the ring and there are doubts if there was a subsequent marriage ceremony to bind her to her boyfriend.

Meanwhile some industry stakeholders have been suggesting the CEO of Ghana Movie Awards, Fred Nuamah, as a suitable match for Gloria Sarfo.

But both celebs have been mute about that suggestion.
