One Direction’s Liam Payne made a surprise appearance on the X Factor tonight. And it turned out to be quite a show for the star as Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s act Reggie and Bollie hit the stage and performed his band’s hit What Make You Beautiful.

However, it was a rendition the pin-up had never heard before as it was remixed with Omi’s summer chart-topper Cheerleader.

While at first, judges Rita Ora, Nick Grimshaw and Simon Cowell looked a little baffled by the fusion of the very different songs, it seems Cheryl made the right decision.

Reggie n Bollie and Liam Payne on X-FactorReggie and Bollie performed One Direction’s hit ‘What Make You Beautiful’.

“I loved hit,” gushed Liam afterwards while the audience cheered. The One Direction heartthrob then pretended to bow down before the pair to show what a fan he was of their performance.

After their performance, Simon then commented: “This really shouldn’t have worked but I loved it! The vocals weren’t perfect but it didn’t matter. You are who you are and I love you being in the competition. This was one of my favourite performances of the whole night!”

Fellow judge Nick was equally as impressed: “I thought Cheryl had lost her mind when I saw the song choice. I never thought I would dutty wind to One Direction. But that was amazing. I want you to sing another song for us!”

As for Rita, she just had three words for the lads: “Mash it up!”

I AM DISAPPOINTED IN TV3 – NANA ABA ANAMOAH

Nana Aba Anamoah
Nana Aba Anamoah

News caster and TV presenter, Nana Aba Anamoah, on Monday November 1, 2015, resigned from TV3, a television broadcaster in Ghana.

The action comes after the ‘Diva’ host was suspended following controversies that emerged on social media when pictures she tweeted suggesting she was at Old Trafford to watch her favourite team Manchester United turned out not to be hers.

In a statement released by the media house on Saturday, October 3, 2015, TV3 said: “After preliminary investigations internally, and in accordance with TV3’s own commitment to the highest level of professionalism, Management has decided to take Nana Aba Anamoah off air until further notice”.

In her resignation letter, which was leaked to the media, Nana Aba expressed disappointment at the decision to suspend her, describing it as a sign of “ingratitude” on TV3’s part.

The letter further stated: “My firm belief, unquestionable loyalty and commitment to the TV3 brand have never been in doubt. Indeed, I did everything humanly possible to guard jealously, protect firmly and stand by TV3 through thick and thin; an action that has earned me many foes within my social circles. I tried to resign on a number of occasions to pursue other Interests or further academic studies but TV3 persuaded me to defer my decision on all occasions. Out of respect, I obliged.

I however, find the decision by the management and board of TV3 to suspend me rather disappointing and a sign of ingratitude from an organization that I have committed twelve years of my adult life to.

For something I consider peripheral and not even remotely connected to the elements of my job (which I have delivered with uttermost capability). I was expecting the management and board to be more circumspect in their decision making…”

Meanwhile Nkonkonsa.com gather that Nana Aba Anamoah’s resignation was a well calculated action because she resigned on Monday November 1, the same day Excellent In Broadcasting (EIB) Network officially took over the operations of GH One Entertainment Television who are rumored to be Nana Aba’s new employers.

Hiplife artiste Mzbel born Belinda Nana Akua Amoah has reportedly been given an undisclosed amount of money by the Volta River Authority (VRA).

A post by the “E Dey Bee” hit maker on her Instagram page, suggests the said money was part of the organization’s role in helping her embark on her #SayNoToIllegaConnection and #StopIllegalConnection campaign which geared towards her #HelpStopDumsor project.

About seven months ago, Mzbel released a song produced by Fimfim titled “Dumsor” and since then, she has made it a point to educate people on the need to reserve energy and their role in curbing Ghana’s power crisis.

Ghana has been experiencing erratic power supply since 2012 and the government hasn’t been able to find a solution to it. There have been many promises, but none has seen the light of day.

The Volta River Authority (VRA) is an electric power utility corporation established in 196. The primary functions include the generation of electric power.

This is Mzbel’s post on Instagram accompanied with the photo above:

Just received a cheque from VRA to support my #SayNoToIllegaConnection #StopIllegalConnection #HelpStopDumsor Project… had so much fun collecting the cheque. ECG also gave me a cheque and everything I need to make my project a huge Success! Now who says silence is the best way to fight for your reputation?! Hashem God of Israel I bow to You…#Mzbel #MzbelMusic #BeLAndTheCity #TeamHashem #GodOfIsreal #HelpStopDumsor #StopIllegalConnection #SayNoToIllegaConnection #KeepGhanaClean #ShikoMe #MzbelBaybeeee????
