JAPEKROM NOW DECLARED INDEPENDENT FROM DROBO

The Omanhene of Japekrom traditional area of the Brong Ahafo Region, Okatakyie Amoa Aturu Nkonkonkyia (ii) at a press conference in Accra today expressed worry about the misrepresentation of Japekrom as Drobo.

According to the President of the Japekrom traditional council, the geographical location of the Capital of the Jaman South District/Municipal Assembly is Japekrom. And added the lands on which the Drobo residents are occupying is all for the people of Japekrom which court judgement has vindicated them.

He added, many individuals deal directly with Drobo Traditional council on matters regarding the Japekrom stool Lands which is not right.

He however,stressed that from hence fourth Japekrom should be treated as such with the recognition. This follows calls by  the Drobo traditional Council recently.

EBONY’S TRIBUTE CONCERT SET FOR MARCH 23

The day of Ebony’s wake would be a dual vigil/tribute concert, the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has announced.

At the La International Trade Fair Centre on Friday, March 23rd, Ebony would be celebrated and remembered one last time before she takes her final journey out of this world.

Obour revealed this info at a presser held by the Union last Friday at the Accra International Conference Centre.

According to him, some of the biggest artists in the land would make an appearance at the tribute concert/vigil.

Ebony’s final funeral rites would be held the next day, March 24th, at the forecourt of the State House in Accra, before her burial at the Osu Cemetery.

ZYLOFON MEDIA CEO APOLOGISES TO STONEBWOY

CEO of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah has apologised to Dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Setekla popularly known as Stonebwoy and his management over the recent attack on the artiste and his team.

It was reported that Stonebwoy and some officials of his record label, Zylofon Music were engaged in a scuffle Saturday.

The officers, according to reports had gone to the premises of the Champs Bar in Accra where Stonebwoy was having a show to take back a car alleged to have been given to him by the company.

The Zylofon team led by Artiste and Repertoire Manager for Zylofon Music, Lawrence Nana Asiamah aka Bulldog approached Stonebwoy’s team and asked that the cars which were branded in Zylofon insignia were taken away.

The clash between the two teams, reports suggest led to the firing of gunshots.

Meanwhile, the “Dirty Enemies” singer has explained that he fired the gunshots to defend himself “of any gruesome attack that may have been launched on him”.

Many Ghanaians who have been following the misunderstanding between the artiste and his label are not happy at the turn of events.

While some have condemned Zylofon Media of being unprofessional in handling the current situation, others have also labelled the employees of the firm as incompetent and incriminating Stonebwoy due to the signing of Shatta Wale. But reacting to the issue, Nana Appiah Mensah described the incident as “unfortunate” and strongly condemned the perpetrators.

In a tweet he wrote, “I apologize to team @stonebwoyb and all well wishers for the unfortunate ill incident that occurred. The transport manager exercised a discretion characterized by reflex and over exuberance. An act I vehemently condemn and discourage from our society.”

STONEBWOY BREACHED HIS CONTRACT – Bulldog Speaks

Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bulldog who is the head of Artistes & Repertoire (A&R) at Zylofon Media has finally opened about his alleged attack on one of the label’s artistes – Stonebwoy.

Bulldog in an interview on Zylofon FM this morning, has narrated what really happened before, during and after the confrontation with Stonebowy and his team at Champs bar inside Paloma Hotel in Accra in Saturday March 10, 2018.

Bulldog revealed among other things that Stonebwoy breached his contract with Zylofon Media and that is what started everything going on now between Zylofon Media and the “Hero” Singer.

ASAMOAH DENIES REPORTS OF BAILING OUT STONEBWOY FROM ZYLOFON MEDIA

Captain of Black Stars Asamoah Gyan has dismissed reports making rounds that he (Asamoah Gyan) and his management are trying to bailout Dancehall musician Stonebwoy with $2 million from Zylofon media.

This comes in the wake of reports of tension between Stonebwoy and Zylofon media after the signing of his ‘rival’ Shatta Wale unto the same label.

Over the weekend it was reported that the Dancehall musician Stonebwoy and Zylofon’s artist manager, Bulldog, got engaged in an altercation on Saturday night at the Champs Bar in Accra which ended in gunshots being fired.

But In a statement signed by Sammy Anim Addo and copied to GhanaWeb, the management states that the Captain Asamoah Gyan has a very good personal and working relationship with the Dancehall artiste and the CEO of Zylofon media Nana Appiah Mensah which the Asamoah Gyan team is interested in keeping same positively strong and ongoing.

“We are asking the publishers to retract and withdraw the fake news from circulation immediately. Mr Asamoah Gyan hasn’t been approached by any representation from Stonebwoy nor does he want to engage in controversy (if any) between the said artiste and the Zylofon Media” the statement said further.

The management of Mr. Asamoah Gyan’s Office have read the false or fake news which places Mr. Gyan into the Stonebwoy and Zylofon Media “fracas.” 

We want to state emphatically that Mr. Asamoah Gyan has very good personal and working relationship with Stonebwoy and Mr. Nana Appiah, the CEO of Zylofon Media. Mr. Asamoah Gyan is deeply interested in keeping same positively strong and ongoing.

We have drawn our legal team’s attention to this fake news and palpable untruth. Effective today we are advising the publisher(s) of this story to desist from circulating this falsehood and to retract and apologize to Mr. Asamoah Gyan immediately. 

We need good press and information on and about the public spirited and selfless works Mr. Asamoah Gyan continues to undertake or perform for our country, Mother Ghana.

Ghanaian celebrity Blogger, Ameyaw Kissi Debrah and his beautiful wife walked down the aisle over the weekend.

Following the couple’s traditional marriage ceremony which occurred on Tuesday, March 6th, Ameyaw Kissi Debrah and Elsie Darkoa Yobo had their “white” wedding ceremony on Saturday, March 10th, 2018.

The ceremony was held at the Trade Fair Center in Accra, and was well attended by both the bride and groom’s friends and family.

After they exchanged their vows, it was time for the couple to dance together for the first time as a couple.
As it turned out, things didn’t go exactly as planned, and it appears that when the time came for the two lovebirds to take to the floor for the first dance the ceiling briefly caught on fire due to the fireworks. Bt Ameyaw and Elsie were unperturbed, as they would not allow anything to mar their special day.

EBONY’S FAMILY PRAISES DR LAWRENCE TETTEH

The Family of the late Dancehall Artiste, Ebony Reigns, has expressed gratitude to Rev. Dr Lawrence Tetteh, a Renowned International Evangelist, for his support to the family since the death of their daughter.

Nana Opoku Kwarteng, the Father of the late Singer, said the family was indeed humbled by the numerous gestures of love, spiritual guidance and immense support Rev. Dr Tetteh had shown the family.

He said this at a news conference in Accra to announce the final funeral rites for the late songstress.

The final funeral rites have been scheduled to take place on March 24 at the forecourt of the State House and interment at the Osu Cemetery.

Ebony Reigns, before her demise, shared a heart-warming picture with Rev. Dr Lawrence Tetteh on social media.

The songstress, who posted the photo on her Instagram page, captioned it; “I enjoyed our meeting today Daddy,” which means that Rev. Dr Tetteh was her ‘Spiritual Father’.

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Rev. Dr Tetteh said he was consoled for the fact that he led her to Lord and led her to accept Him as her personal saviour before her untimely death.

Mr Bice Osei Kuffor (Obour), the President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), expressed appreciation to Rev. Dr Tetteh for his support saying; “This tells us that in times of trouble we know who to call on.”

Born on February 16, 1997, Ebony Reigns, known in private life as Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, died in an accident on Thursday, February 8, on the Sunyani-Kumasi stretch, at age 20.

Her death shook the nation with tributes pouring in from politicians, academia, the showbiz fraternity and well-wishers. Some of her colleagues have also released songs in her honour.

In the two years that she spent in the music industry, she won the heart of many Ghanaians releasing hit songs like: Aseda, Maame Hwe, Hustle, Sponsor, Date Your Father, Dancefloor and Kupe.

“IT WAS SELF DEFENSE” – Stonebwoy Admits Firing Gunshots

Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has admitted firing warning shots during a confrontation between him and Bulldog

Stonebwoy offered some explanation to Hitz FM over the pandemonium that ensued over the allegation of Bulldog and the Zylofon posse wanting to seize his car and the gunshot he is said to have fired.

He did not deny firing the shot and intimated that it was done in self-defense.

“Do you know what self-defense means?” he asked the host.

According to an eyewitness who spoke to Nkonkonsa.com, Stonebwoy was not on the scene when Bulldog and his men tried to forcefully take a Mercedes Benz car from Stonebwoy’s younger brother but he(Stonebwoy) angrily fired gunshots to protect himself and his people.

“Stonebwoy fired about 3 warning shots and he was very angry, shouting that who wants to take his car should come for it but at the time Stonebwoy came out and he was shooting, Bulldog and his people had left”, the eyewitness stated.

ZYLOFON MEDIA CEO CALLS FOR CALM, AFTER BULLDOG-STONEBWOY CLASH

Chief Executive Officer of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah has finally spoken on all controversies about head of of A&R – Bulldog and the label’s dancehall artiste Stonebwoy.

Following reports that Bull Dog and some unknown persons approached the ‘Hero’ Singer at Champs Bar inside Paloma Hotel in Accra on Saturday night March 10, 2018 to retrieve a Mercedes Benz car, the CEO has called for calm.

In a tweet which was reproduced on Instagram Sunday evening, Mr. Appiah Mensah promised to solve the brouhaha amicably for peace to reign.

In his own words on the social media platforms, the Zylofon Media boss said “I urge all well wishers of @shattawalegh, @stonebwoyb and @ZylofonMedia to remain very calm. Whatever differences, as with all human institutions would be resolved in the most civil and decorous fashion. Ghana shall prosper. #zylofonmusic #Ghanamusic #Ghanawi”.

Zylofon Media, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale for the past days have been in the news due to rumoured disagreement at their camps among the three parties.
