NANA ABA, KOD, SAMINI, EDEM, OTHERS IN #fearkillsdreams CAMPAIGN

Ghanaians are gearing up for what is set to be an emotion-filled campaign on a subject that resonates with us all, that one thing that inhibits us from achieving our full potential: FEAR.

The first campaign video went live on Monday, and features some of Ghana’s leading known personalities such as Nana Aba Anamoah, Kofi Okyere Darko, Brommon, Jon Germain, Samini, Edem, Kemini Amanor and Fiifi Coleman speaking to their individual definitions of fear and what it does to us.

The campaign seeks to bring to the fore how people live their lives in the shadow of their fears; how they allow the fears to hold them back; to inhibit them from taking that important step in accomplishing their full potential in all spheres of life.

Over the next few weeks, the personalities will speak to their biggest fears in life and will also give the opportunity to Ghanaians from all walks of life to join in on the conversation to share their unique, genuine stories of their biggest fears.

The initiators of the campaign say they hope that this emotion-enabled campaign will spark an awakening for all who are struggling to overcome their individual fears and, in the end, provide that motivation, and confidence to help people face their fears and overcome them to achieve whatever dream they have.

MOVIE PRODUCERS ASKED ME FOR SEX – Yvonne Nelson

Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson has alleged that some movie producers demanded sex from her in exchange for movie roles.

While this is no news in the Ghanaian movie industry, she revealed that she didn’t succumb to these pressures, as she knows her worth.

She lamented that sex for role is a widespread canker that has eaten into the movie industry over the years across the world.

“It happens a lot in the industry. It’s quite a controversial question but you know I’ve met producers on production sets and they’ve tried to make a few advances here and there,” Yvonne Nelson told the BBC in an interview that was aired on Thursday March 8, 2018.

“My thing is that if somebody wants to do that, just walk away because I know my value, I know what I bring to the table, I know that hey, you called me for the job and I know I can nail it so if you know that you want something in exchange, I’m sorry,” she said.

Ghanaian actress, model, film producer and entrepreneur Yvonne  Nelson has starred in about 100 movies including Princess Tyra, House of Go, If Tomorrow Never Comes and Any Other Monday.

GTP PRODUCES NEW LINE OF EBONY INSPIRED CLOTHS

Late dancehall diva, Ebony Reigns’ very promising brand is raking in money even after her death.

The “Sponsor” hitmaker has landed a juicy deal with GTP, ahead of her much anticipated funeral.

This was disclosed on the Rythmz Live Entertainment show aired on GHONE TV,on Friday March 2, 2018.

Ebony’s family is reported to have signed the deal on behalf of their daughter. According to the deal, Ghana Textile Printing Limited (GTP), would manufacture newly customized cloths with some of Ebony’s songs. For instance, there would be a black and red designed cloth with her song ‘Maame Hw3’ to be used for funerals.

It is believed that this new ‘Maame Hw3’ cloth will be the official mourning cloth for Ebony’s funeral. Another design would be made with her song ‘Aseda’, which would be used for happy occasions like child christening. Then a colourful designed cloth with ‘Sponsor’ for colourful occasions like parties. The cloths, according to reports, would be unveiled in the coming few days.

The cloth would be made available to all GTP fabric distributors nationwide for sale to the general public.

Ebony Reigns lost her life in a gory accident which also claimed the lives of her bodyguard, Lance Corporal Vondee Francis Atsu, and her personal assistant, Franky Kuri. They had visited Ebony’s mother in the Brong Ahafo Region and were returning to Accra when the sad incident happened. Ebony’s funeral has been slated for March 17, 2018, at the Independence Square in Accra.

EBONY’S FUNERAL POSTPONED TO MARCH 24, AT STATEHOUSE

After the family of the late Dancehall artiste announced Independence Square as the venue for the funeral of their deceased daughter, father of the artiste disclosed that the event may either be postponed or see a change in venue.

As it stands, it did see a change in both venue and date. The family has come out with the new DATE and VENUE for the burial of their deceased daughter.

The funeral will now be held at the State House and it will be on March 24, 2018. This announcement was made by Abeiku Santana on his “Drive Time” show on Okay 101.7FM.

Reason behind the change of venue is, the family had the indication that, it could not be held at the Independence Square as previously announced because, it had been booked by Aglow International.

The forecourt of the State House had also been booked by the Canadian High Commission on that very day.

Ebony Reigns, born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng died in February, 2018 in a gory accident.
