Elegant Kumawood actress, Benedicta Gafah, has insisted that everything she owns is through hard work and not by sleeping around with married men as widespread.

According to the actress, she moves from one set location to the other for her movie roles and sometimes barely has time to sleep.

Arguing that, the fact that she (Benedicta Gafah) drives a good car does not mean that she sleeps around for it.

“I am on different sets shooing from one location to the other just to make ends meet. I wake up at dawn reading scripts and sometimes forget to eat the whole day”

“I drive the best of cars so anyone would think I did something ‘ illegal’ to acquire them but it is hard work that earned me that ,” she added.

“It took me awhile to accept this man but I am still doing my investigations because I want to be sure of who I am giving my heart to”

“It is my prayer God sees us through and make us a wonderful couple. Although I am hopeful.

WISA GREID FOUND GUILTY OF GROSS INDECENCY

Court has finally passed judgement on Musician, Wisa Greid court case.

An Accra Circuit Court has fined Ghanaian artiste, Eugene Ashie popularly known as Wisa Greid, an amount of Ghc 8,400 with a default sentence of 24 months for gross indecency, Monday morning April 30, 2018.

The court presided over by Mrs. Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku established that there were inconsistencies in the police statement and the account Wisa gave during the trial.

According to the judgement by the court, Wisa admitted to showing his penis on stage in his initial statement to the police but stated that the supposed manhood was a dildo during the trial.

The court found him guilty of gross indecency during his performance at the ‘Decemba 2 Rememba’ concert at the Accra International Conference on December  24, 2015.

The court ruled that the Accra International Conference Center was a public place thus found Wisa Greid guilty of the offence and sentenced him accordingly.

The ‘Ekiki Mi’ hitmaker has been standing trial since 2016 for allegedly showing off his manhood during a performance at the Citi FM ‘Decemba 2 Rememba’ concert in 2015.

RAPPER YAA PONO TIES THE KNOT

Tema based rapper, Solomon Adu Antwi, popularly known as Yaa Pono, has finally tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend with whom he has a beautiful daughter in a colorful ceremony.

The ‘Amen’ hit maker took to his Instagram account to announce his marriage and also shared some lovely photos from the event.

The musician, who is noted for his controversial music made the announcement of his new life and has received many congratulatory messages.

The musician shared a photo of his wedding ring and captioned it, “Genesis 2:24: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” .. #today with @mzqua …….live life #married #upness.

The Uptown music boss in the pictures shared was seen dressed in a white apparel as he took for himself a wife. Yaa Pono whose new music titled ‘Master’ is currently making waves got hitched with a lady we only identified as mzqua who he has been dating for over seven years. The two have a daughter together.

Yaa Pono made waves with his beef with Shatta Wale, known in real life as Charles Nii Armah Mensah. He recorded ‘Gbee Naabu’ as a diss song mocking Shatta Wale.

ACTOR KWAKU MANU ARRESTED

Actor Kwaku Manu has reportedly been arrested and put behind bars at Ejisu Police station in the Ashanti Region.

Film Producer Kwasi Nyamekye of Miracle Film who confirmed the news to Peace FM Evening News, said Kwaku Manu was arrest at about 2pm on Thursday afternoon, April 26, 2018.

Actor Akwasi Boadi popularly known as Akrobeto was also with Kwaku Manu at the Police station and he explained that one of Kwaku Manu’s drivers was apprehended with his car for wrongful parking and selling, when Kwaku Manu went to rescue his driver, he (Kwaku) was arrested instead and put behind bars.

It is not too clear as to why he was arrested but Kwaku Manu was reportedly marketing a fruit drink, Drop Fruit Juice in a car with music by the roadside with his team close to the police station, when the incident happened.

Akrobeto also alleged that Commander at the Police station physically and verbally assaulted Kwaku Manu after he was arrested.

“According to eyewitnesses here, the Commander himself, used his phone hit Kwaku Manu several times and his face is swollen. He hasn’t done anything wrong, has hasn’t insulted anyone and he hasn’t disrespected anybody”, Akrobeto stated.

At the time of filing this report, several other Kumawood stars had arrived at the Police station and fans of the actor, had also gathered in their numbers, all anticipating his release.

MAAME DOKONO ACCUSES MOESHA BODUONG OF HAVING FAKE BUTT

Celebrated actress, Grace Omaboe aka Maame Dokono says it is wrong for young and budding ladies to show their bodies in movies to be a good actress.

The veteran actress in an interview with Joy News used Moesha Boduong as an example, saying her butt is artificial.

Maame Dokono also waded into the controversial comment made by Moesha on CNN in an interview with Christiane Amanpour. She opined that Moesha don’t have to ‘sell’ her body to survive. “… instead of projecting Ghanaian women; you say that the women sleep with men to make money. It is not good and it’s not what majority of Ghanaian women do.” “The only thing that she has, that she is using to lure the men is her butt. But I think that is even artificial,” Maame Dokono said.

She added that the woman’s body is not made for the pleasures of a man. Maame Dokono chided Moesha and warned that she takes good care of her body, so she can find a husband. An 85 seconds video of actress Moesha Buduong with American ace journalist Christiane Amanpour generated an outrage in the country because the former made some statements which didn’t go down well with the public. Amanpour’s Sex and Love Around the World series shot in Ghana was widely criticized by several members of the Ghanaian society including the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection suggested that women in the country were incapable of making ends meet without soliciting for favours from successful men.

REX OMAR THREATENS TO SUE ZYLOFON MEDIA

Legendary Highlife Musician Rex Omar has hinted a looming legal battle between him and sensational entertainment company Zylofon Media for copyright infringement.

Rex who is also the Chairman of Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), made the shocking revelation this morning on “Neat FM’s Entertainment Ghana”.

Even though he refused to go into details as to why he would be dragging the biggest record company currently in Ghana to court, he disclose that his lawyers have already written to Zylofon Media so details would be revealed in due time.

When host Kwame Adjietia tried to probe further, Rex reluctantly revealed that Zylofon have used his music without his permission but he refused to mention the particular song they used and what it was used for.

“My lawyers have written to them, so you would hear the details at the right time because they have money”.

Asked if he taking the legal action just for finance gains, Rex said; “They have taken my song and that is my property. As for me, my music is my property and I value every song I produce at 1million dollars. So if you take my music and you don’t tell me, you have stolen my on million dollar”, Rex emphasized.

Meanwhile, Rex Omar is currently in court with beverage manufacturing company Joy Industries for using a part of his hit song “Da da di da” to promote or advertise its product, Joy Dadi Bitters with his permission.

After releasing a teaser of Christiane Amanpour’s “Love & Sex Around The World”series, Cable News Network (CNN) has finally aired the full footage of its controversial documantary which features voluptuous Ghanaian actress Moesha Boduong.

The video is the sixth episode of a Christiane Amanpour documentary titled: Sex and Love Around the World. It is a detailed 42 minutes complete documentary on religion, marriage, sex, love, our culture and traditions, development, music, movies and even media in Ghana currently.

According to Christiane Amanpour, she came to Ghana for the first time, 20 years ago and she came back in 2017 to document the current state of Ghana as far as religion, sex and love is concerned.

An excerpt from an episode of Amanpour’s Sex and Love Around the World series was widely criticized by several members of the Ghanaian society including the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection suggested that women in the country were incapable of making ends meet without soliciting for favours from successful men.

Apart from socialite/actress Moesha Bodoung the documentary also features Presiding Archbishop and General Overseer of the Action Chapel International Nicholas Duncan-Williams, Broadcaster Akumaa Mama Zimbi, Musician Azizaa, actor Edward Kufour who is also the son of former President of Ghana JA Kuffour, among others.

Award winning Highlife Musician Bisa Kdei has expressed his worry over a growing perception in the media that Highlife music is dead in Ghana.

Bisa who was addressing the media at the official launch of his third studio album “Highlife Konnect” in Accra on Saturday April 21 2018, said Highlife music is the only genre of music that truly projects our culture and traditions as Ghanaians so there is no way Highlife will die.

“I want to tell my media friends here that, they should stop saying Highlife is dying or Highlife is dead. I keep hearing this in the media all the time but Highlife is not dead. If we keep saying Highlife is dead, certain people would believe it but it is not true”

The “Mansa” hit maker stated that Highlife originated from Ghana and it will never die, adding that at the time he came to the limelight, Hiplife and Dancehall was very strong but he still made it with Highlife so Highlife will never die.

He insisted that he would do everything he can to protect Highlife and to continue the legacy the likes of CK Mann, Paapa Yankson, Amakye Dede, Pat Thomas, Nana Kwame Ampadu, Daddy Lumba, Oheneba Kissi, Paa Bobo and others have left behind and called on all Ghanians to help preserve our culture especially Highlife.

The launch, which took place at Level 8 Lounge Airport, saw top personalities and musicians including Rex Omar, Kumi Guitar, Yaa-Yaa and a host of others.
